FROM BULLIED BODY TO LOVED BODY

Do you feel apologetic about your body shape, weight, look?

Do you feel guilty because you have not been able of losing some extra weight and/or when you do, it keeps coming back?

You don’t  feel deserving or socially correct to wear your beach outfits, your swimming dress and then, resentful and frustrated for not doing it?

Do you keep blaming your body, victimizing yourself because you feel that your body is not allowing you to do certain things, go to your the dreamed holidays, meet your dreamed partner?

Do you feel angry at your shape and weight, do you refer to your body in disrespectful ways, do you disregard and neglect it as if it has to do better for you to love and to take good care of it ?

I call it BULLING. And I know how it  feels. For many years of my life it was my attitude towards my body. I disliked it so much that even when otheres complemented my weight and shape, it was never good enough and I was always in fear to lose that shape and weight, I sooooo distrusted my body. MY BODY KNEW THIS.

If you are used to treat your body with disrespect, blaming, shaming it and shaming yourself for how it look, maybe you need to ask yourself: Would I do it with my friends? Would you do it with my kids, with my loved ones?

However, some of us have done it with our full time partner, our body. Doing it with one’s body is in a way attacking oneself, the body is with us 24/7 and it will be until the end of our life…

When we bully our body we enter in a stress sestate and in stress starte ,many of teh functions that help the process of calorie burniing slos down. In stress we burn calores, slower, in stress the cortisoll incrrases andnthe fat accumulation is increades also beacsue i n stress response the message toasent to the body is that we are in risk and a=oru survival inin sin … th ebody trasnaltes it as a survival message trasnlated in fat accumulation.

We are in this body to texperience life… its time to love it, appreciate it, own it as it as a gift and opportunity to inhabit the physical realm. It deserves to be treated as we treat our most love frieind, because it is. If we remember how hard and intense it is the work of keeping us alive.

When we own our body, we recognize the magnitudes of its work in the big spectrum not only in the physical level but as the container for us to access and experience the other levels: mental, emotional, energetic, spiritual….The body loves to be loved and pays back big time when is respected, complemented, appreciated.

When the body is showing some weight unbalance or uneasiness, it is a call that is making for a change, maybe more love, attention to one or more aspects that it holds. This call for attention can be a Bliss and a gateway towards inner transformation. The body often presents symptoms disguised as problems, if we are able to uncover their meaning, we can be up for a good treat and for a Pandora box: The body is container of information and a Messenger that when well heard, will give us precious insights and wisdom to navigate not only the body but life and its challenges.

We are under strong societal pressures and toxic mindsets that print negatively body confidence. With an holistic approach to mindset transformation, you can empower yourself and celebrate your body at every stage of the journey. Saying goodbye to self-blame and resentment you can step into a future where you embrace your uniqueness and feel confident in your skin. Embracing our body with love, compassion, and acceptance can be the first step towards transformation far beyond the physical which for my understanding can be more juicy and into the realm of the spirit.
